MATER SALVATORIS
A boy with a slingshot practicing his aim in the woods. When he comes home, he sees he's become a target for fate, too. Death comes gently in this remote Pyrenees village, where social structures are intact, and the boy Miguel is taken in by another family. Over dinner he recognizes everything has consequences, and that he did something in the woods he's forgotten about...

Meet the director
Marc Barceló
Marc Barceló (Alforja, Catalonia, 1992) studied at ESCAC, specializing in Direction. He has written film reviews in various media, such as the official newspaper of Sitges Festival (2013 and 2014). He has been involved in a collective project with ECAM (Madrid) and ENERC (Buenos Aires) about audiovisual contemporary art called "Moviement", promoted by Sorigué Foundation and premiered at Lleida Latinoamerican Film Festival 2016. MATER SALVATORIS is his graduation film.
