FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH - one of the most traditional platforms for student short film is reinventing itself.

We are a meeting place for film schools from all over the world and want to make it our core task in the future to be a hub for the entire German-speaking region.

At the same time, we want to open ourselves up to the future and new developments in audiovisual storytelling, and thus to everything that interests film students about the short form. Established filmmakers provide insights into their work at an international level, we experiment with new narrative forms that push the limits of the short form or even rethink it completely - for example in the interactive and XR space. And we are constantly expanding our global network - as in 2023 with our first collaboration with the European Film Academy.

A "Festival of Future Storytellers" in many facets. We will keep you up to date (subscribe to our newsletter) and also want to be a network hub for the engagement of German film students. There will be some exciting innovations at the FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH - the Festival of Future Storytellers in 2024!

In addition to the International Competition, there will be a DACH-Competition for the first time: for films made at filmschools in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
