Aging ex-DJ Laci’s record store isn’t really doing well. But the club nights he holds in the basement on weekends are very popular with young people. His assistant, Peti, plays music as a youth DJ. Or rather, he’d like to, if Laci would only let him.

Meet the director
Dániel Kőváry
Dániel Kőváry attends Budapest Metropolitan University. So far, he has worked mainly as a film editor, with some success: Márk Beleznai’s short film AGAPÉ, which Kőváry edited, made it into the official selection of the 2020 Cannes Film Festival. The short film DISCO DICTATOR (2021) marks Kőváry’s debut as a director. He is also a DJ, which inspired him to make the film.
