Sam, a 17-year-old German-Ghanaian, and his mother, Rita, are finally able to welcome two long-awaited visitors from their home country; but the joy of reunion is clouded by the unresolved residence status of Gifty and her son, Kwesi. Sam is thus confronted with questions about his origins and identity, and also begins to fall in love with Kwesi.

Gabriel B. Arrahnio
Gabriel B. Arrahnio was born in Cameroon. His family immigrated to Germany when he was 13. Following various internships at film production companies, he was hired by the Jung von Matt advertising agency as an in-house director. Arrahnio tells stories about minorities that are often overlooked in world cinema. He is dedicated to the life stories of queer people and their courageous path in overcoming aggression and a lack of understanding as they find self-respect and acceptance.
