TOOTHLESS
Teeth falling out are a frequent motif in nightmares. Teeth as a metaphor for all of human existence, on the other hand, are, well, an imaginative premise. Are we firmly rooted in life, or is there a gaping cavity in our souls? This collage-like, associative film essay drills down into this question and many others.

Meet the director
Andrea Guízar
Andrea Guízar, born in Mexico City in 1989, is a filmmaker and visual artist. A graduate of the Department of Animated Film and Special Effects at the Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź, she currently lives in Mexico and has directed five short films to date. TOOTHLESS is her latest work.
