WEDDING NIGHT
Emilia’s friend, Aada, is at her house. They’re playing Barbie’s wedding in the living room. Their playing is interrupted when Emilia’s mother arrives at the doorway of the living room and is shocked by what she sees: the Barbie dolls are lying in the middle of the floor on their wedding night, having sex.

Meet the director
Fanni Mikkonen
Fanni Mikkonen is a director and a screenwriter, who is studying screenwriting in her 3rd year at Metropolia University of Applied sciences. Mikkonen's previous works include a short documentary WOMEN'S DAY (2018), adverts, and she has also directed and written several theatre plays. WEDDING NIGHT (2019) is her first fictional short movie. Fanni lives in Helsinki now and her roots are in Eastern Finland, North Karelia, where from she still finds inspiration and energy for her passion; telling and exploring stories that she finds important.
