SON

Filmmaker Tomas Ponsteen, the protagonist of this film, was adopted from Brazil at a very early age. His close relationship with his Dutch adoptive parents is full of openness, gratitude and loyalty. He doesn’t feel the need to search out his biological mother on the other side of the world, but wonders whether it’s his moral duty to do so. He eventually begins a search for clues which raises the question “What if ...?”.
