The UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, founded in 1947, is one of 12 schools at the University of California, Los Angeles. The UCLA Film Archive, after the Library of Congress, has the second-largest media collection in the world, holding more than 220,000 films. The bachelor’s and master’s programs offer all relevant courses of study in film production such as directing, camera, screenwriting, production, and animation. In addition, the critical studies program deals with the history, theory, and aesthetics of film and television.
