The University of Television and Film Munich (HFF) was founded in 1966. Since August 2011 it has been amid Munich’s art museums at Bernd-Eichinger-Platz. Doris Dörrie, Bernd Eichinger, Roland Emmerich, Caroline Link, Katja von Garnier, Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, and Wim Wenders are just some of its many nationally and internationally renowned alumni. The University of Television and Film Munich instructs students in feature and documentary film directing, production, screenwriting, and cinematography. Opportunities for specialization are offered by the programs in television journalism, advertising, and creative writing.
