Filmuniversität KONRAD WOLF (FBKW) – Germany
Established in 1954, the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf is today the largest German film school. Specialists from the worlds of theory and practice provide an individual education to approximately 850 students. Each year, they carry out numerous cinema art projects, some of them in cooperation with external production companies and broadcasters, which enjoy worldwide success at festivals. The projects deal with the entire range of audiovisual media, from feature films to VR experiences. Academic, artistic and applied research are in constant dialogue with each other. As a place of cultural and political debate, an open-minded attitude and a zero-tolerance policy in dealing with discrimination are inherent to the university’s self-image.
