At the unveiling of a plaque in memory of his parents, who died in shellfire during the Bosnian War, director Alen Šimić meets the man who saved his life 26 years ago. The camera calmly observes their faces while the man talks in great detail about the night he found Alen, then four years old and seriously injured, next to the bodies of his parents.

Alen Šimić was born in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1988. He is pursuing a master’s degree at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo while also working as a teaching assistant.
