Still waters run deep. Mute since birth, Siham goes about her job as a maid in a motel without attracting much attention. During breaks, however, she retreats to the attic and watches the guests in room 16 through the cracks in the floorboards. One day, a particularly charismatic man checks in and Siham’s monotonous existence is turned upside down.

Meet the director
Dany Saliba
Dany K. Saliba was born in Lebanon in 1989. He studied film directing at the IESAV Saint Joseph University of Beirut. Since 2010, he has been making documentaries, music videos and content for such TV shows as “The Voice Arabia”, “Arabs Got Talent”, and various others. ROOM 16 is his first short fiction film; in 2021 it earned him his first award as best director at the monthly online Europe Film Festival U.K.
