The Consulate General of the State of Israel, based in Munich, has existed since September 2011 and is responsible for the southern German states of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. The Consul General has been Carmela Shamir since 2021.
