The German-French cultural channel ARTE is one of the few TV stations in Germany that promotes short films, co-produces them and gives them a regular slot. Every Saturday, "Kurzschluss - Das Magazin" shows the latest short films and takes a look behind the scenes with portraits, shooting reports and film tips. The own streaming platform arte.tv offers a changing selection of new short films, especially from young filmmakers. As part of the FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH, the station awards the ARTE Short Film Prize.
