Faculty of Dramatic Arts
In 1974, The Faculty of Dramatic Arts moved into its present premises in New Belgrade. The building's contemporary and practical design provides exceptional study and training facilities for all of the faculty's departments. In addition to regular classrooms, there are rehearsal and exercise rooms for acting, directing, diction, voice technique, fencing, stage movement, dance, stage combat and acrobatics, as well as a make-up room, a sound studio, a television and photo studio, a film studio, an editing room and workshops for animated film, computer graphics and animation, projection rooms and a sound and film archive. There is also a screening room for an audience of 250 viewers, a fully-equipped theatre with 180 seats and a newly completed hi-tech film and television studio. Both students and teachers can relax in a pleasant cafeteria and restaurant. There are 120 full-time professors and assistants at the FDU. The vast majority of the teaching staff are outstanding professionals in the theatre, film, radio and television and leading scholars in their academic fields. All of them look after the wellbeing of about 400 students who study at the Faculty.
