Meet the Filmmakers: UNSPOKEN WAR

Director Javeus Toh Zuan Hao

Write a one-sentence teaser text for your film UNSPOKEN WAR.

The mess we create because of greed.

Which film was the first to deeply impress you?

"Blue Planet"

A new TV series about studying film needs a title – which would you choose?

"As Scene on TV"

Which actor or actress would you love to work with and why?

Sir David Attenborough. His knowledge of nature never ceases to amaze me.

 Scene from UNSPOKEN WAR

If your film was an animal, what animal would it be?

What do your grandparents think you do as a job?

My grandparents never remember what I do for a living. But every time I show them a piece of my work and explain how it all comes together, they say "Ah boy, very capable" in Mandarin, and that never fails to warm my heart and I forget about all the sacrifices I have had to make during the production of a film.

What would you be if you weren’t a filmmaker?

Military man.

Is this your first visit to Munich? What do you expect from the city and the festival?

Yes. I hope to visit all the natural sites of Munich and explore the rich history embedded in the city. I hope to meet filmmakers from across the world.
