Meet the Filmmakers: EXCUSE ME, I'M LOOKING FOR THE PING-PONG ROOM AND MY GIRLFRIEND
Interview with director Bernhard Wenger
Director Bernhard Wenger
Write a one-sentence teaser text for your film EXCUSE ME, I'M LOOKING FOR THE PING-PONG ROOM AND MY GIRLFRIEND.
A bizarre film about a breakup in an alpine wellness resort where only one of the partners is present.
A new TV series about studying film needs a title – which would you choose?
Filmmaking in general - "How I Lost My Personal Life to Fulfill My Dreams"
What do your grandparents think you do as a job?
They know what my profession is but they can’t really imagine how a set works. That has nothing to do with their age, nearly anybody who has never been to a set really knows what it means to shoot a movie. But my grandparents saw all my films. They are very old and often subtitles are too small or they don’t get the details as they just can't see it, when I show it to them on the TV. But nevertheless, they are extremely happy whenever I show them anything. The film's stories or topics don’t really matter, just the fact that their grandson made what they are watching is enough to make them happy. This makes me happy as well.

Definitely an architect
Is this your first visit to Munich? What do you expect from the city and the festival?
No, I have been at the festival before and of course I have been in Munich for the beer. Good beer.
