Meet the Filmmakers: ATTACHED

Interview with director Borja Álvarez

Meet the Filmmakers: ATTACHED

Director Borja Álvarez

Which film was the first to deeply impress you?

I have to name two films. Modern film: "Million Dollar Baby". Classic film: "City Lights".

A new TV series about studying film needs a title – which would you choose?

I believe that the most important quality you need to make films is humility. Every student needs to know this. But it is also necessary to dream. My title would be "Humility and Dreams".

Which actor or actress would you love to work with and why?

Daniel Day Lewis because he is an actor who delves a lot into his characters. It is a challenge for a director.

If your film was an animal, what animal would it be?

A dog. Because the short film is about loyalty.

What would you be if you weren’t a filmmaker?

Uff... The million dollar question. I dont know, maybe film critic.

Is this your first visit to Munich? What do you expect from the city and the festival?

Yeah, I am very excited for this. I hope to enjoy the festival, meet people and experience different points of view about cinema and life. And drink beer of course :)
