This year's jury members
The decision about this year's jury members has been made! Five experts from film and television will be present at the FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH 2018 to watch all the films and choose the best ones.
The jury president of the FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH 2018 is director Philip Gröning. He started his own production company while he was still studying at the University of Television & Film Munich in 1986, and since then has been responsible on all his films for production, directing, screenplay, editing and cinematography. Gröning first attracted attention in 1992 with his film DIE TERRORISTEN! (THE TERRORISTS), which won the Bronze Leopard in Locarno. He gained international recognition in 2000 for his film L’AMOUR, L’ARGENT, L’AMOUR. His greatest success both in Germany and internationally came in 2005 with DIE GROSSE STILLE (INTO GREAT SILENCE), which won several prizes all around the world. He is a member of the European Film Academy and the German Film Academy as well as the Bavarian Academy for the Fine Arts. Among his works is also: SOMMER (SUMMER, 1986), STACHOVIAK! (1988), OPFER. ZEUGEN (VICTIMS. WITNESSES, 1993), and DIE FRAU DES POLIZISTEN (THE POLICE OFFICER’S WIFE, 2013).
His most recent work MY BROTHER’S NAME IS ROBERT AND HE IS AN IDIOT was part of an Homage for Philip Gröning at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN in summer 2018. The film will be in cinemas November 22 and will be shown in a special screening during the FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH on November 24.

Asja Krsmanović is a freelance scriptwriter from Bosnia and Herzegovina and she has been a member of the Sarajevo Film Festival team since 2011, working as a programer. Her first professional short film DAMAGED GOODS was screened at numerous film festivals and won several awards worldwide.
Tice Oakfield is currently working at the Disney channel for Disney Junior and Replay Films in London. Originally from the Netherlands, he is now based in the UK where he directs, writes and acts. Over the last 18 years he has been involved in the development of many music videos, comedy shorts, musicals and commercials in a variety of European countries. He worked on shoots and recordings for Google, Nickelodeon and MTV. He is an active member of the arts committee of the Space Theatre in London. And, pursuing his own creative endeavours, he develops new shows with Flying Dutchman Theatre.
Sinje Köhler is a German filmmaker who won the VFF Young Talent Award ("best film") for her short film FREIBADSINFONIE (BLUE SUMMER SYMPHONY) at the FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH 2017. BLUE SUMMER SYMPHONY was also nominated for a Student Academy Award. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Digital Media from the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt and is currently enrolled in the Directing program at Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, while working as a freelance scriptwriter and director.
Antonis Papadopoulos is a film director and the Artistic Director of the International Short Film Festival in Drama (Northern Greece). He also teaches dramaturgy and directing and is a voting member of the European Film Academy.
