Meet the Filmmakers: TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW
Interview with director Sunday Emerson Gullifer
Director Sunday Emerson Gullifer
Describe your film TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW in three words.
Defiant. Unsettling. Triumphant.
Which actor or actress would you love to work with and why?
Elisabeth Moss. Is there anything she can't do? I'm consistently moved by her work across film and television; THE HANDMAID'S TALE and THE SQUARE are among my favourite works from this year, and the first season of TOP OF THE LAKE remains a touchstone for me in my own work.
If your film was an animal, what animal would it be?
A blackbird escaping its cage.

What do your grandparents think you do as a job?
My grandparents didn't live to see me become a filmmaker but my father is a writer so my family gets it.
What would you be if you weren’t a filmmaker?
I also work in film distribution. Theatre was my first love though, and the years I spent working in the theatre industry eventually inspired this film.

Is this your first visit to Munich? What do you expect from the festival?
This will be my first trip to Germany. I'm planning for cold weather, long days and lots of fun exploring, watching great films and meeting other filmmakers from around the world. Apart from the cold, it sounds like heaven!
