Describe your film REGRETTING MOTHERHOOD in three words.

Felizitas Hoffmann (FH): Taboo, mothers, regret.

Merle Grimme (MG): Feminism, motherhood, freedom.

Which film was the first to deeply impress you?

FH: A short film I've seen in the SENDUNG MIT DER MAUS.

MG: Too many to list them. 

Which actor or actress would you love to work with and why?

FH: My grandmother used to be an actress but she died before I was born. I am constantly wondering who she was and how she worked. 

MG: Young and upcoming actresses.

If your film was an animal, what animal would it be?

FH: Chameleon.

MG: Mother Nature.

What do your grandparents think you do as a job?

FH: My grandmother Mimi keeps forgetting what I study, but she encourages me to study medicine or law from time to time. 

MG: Female filmmaker.

What would you be if you weren’t a filmmaker?

FH: Good question.

MG: Female animation artist for animation films and graphic novels. 

Is this your first visit to Munich? What do you expect from the festival?

MG: I currently live in Munich (HFF Munich).
