Meet the Filmmakers: WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUR BRAIN IF YOU SEE A GERMAN WORD LIKE...

Director Zora Rux

Describe your film WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUR BRAIN IF YOU SEE A GERMAN WORD LIKE... in one sentence.

A surrealistic trip into the world of an extremely long german word.

If your film was an animal, what animal would it be?

A snail.

Which filmmaker would you like to have a beer with?

Woody Allen.

What was the first film you remember seeing at a movie theater?

It's several swedish horse films at Berlinale Generation which melted into one in my memory.

Which film deserved an Oscar but didn’t get one?

I don't believe in a film god, so the Oscars are just a huge marketing campaign to me.

What would you be if you weren’t a filmmaker?

A scientist.

What do your grandparents think you do as a job?

I assume they think I'm a drummer or I'm a crazy artist or maybe they even think filmmaking makes me very rich.

Is this your first visit to Munich? What do you expect from the festival?

I have family in Munich, so it's not my first visit to the city, but the first visit to the festival. I expect meeting inspiring filmmakers, maybe actors or crew for my next film, seeing great films and having good parties.
