Which film deserved an Oscar but didn’t get one?
Stephan: "Rust and Bones"
Andreas: Too many, but certainly "Capote"
Daniela: "Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom"
What would you be if you weren’t a filmmaker?
Stephan: A nurse.
Daniela: Globetrotter - I spend all my money for travelling ;)
What do your grandparents think you do as a job?
Stephan: They aren’t alive anymore, but I’m sure they would make a VHS-copy of my films.
Andreas: I think they kind of know what I do since I told them many times but they probably cannot really imagine how to earn money with it.
Daniela: I tried to explain what an editor does, but my grandparents think that everything is shooted like it's gonna be broadcast in the TV, so in their opinion I'm obviously unemployed.
Is this your first visit to Munich? What do you expect from the festival?
Stephan: I’ve been to Munich often to visit my alcoholic godfather. This will be my first film festival in Munich though.
Andreas: I'm born in Munich. But certainly lots of Weißwurst and Weizenbier - that was the case at the Landshut FF.
Daniela: I've been to Munich often for concerts or celebrating birthdays and until now it has always shown it's best side.
