The Syrian-German-American filmmaker will be discussing the role of young Muslim women and film with German-Iranian director Fatima Abdollahyan on Wednesday, November 17 at 7 pm.

Director Nadia Hamzehdemonstrates that in her award winning comedy FIASCO, which she will be presenting this week at the festival. All kinds of complications set in when an Arabic girl studying in the USA is visited by her strictly religious father. The film won a Student Emmy this year as Best Comedy. 

Fatima Abdollahyan, a Munich filmmaker with Iranian roots, is the director of the documentary KICK IN IRAN about the first female Tae Kwon Do athlete from Iran to qualify for the Olympic games. The film was one of the few German selections at this year's famous Sundance Festival.
