The Polish National Film School
The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz was established in 1948 and is considered as one of the oldest and most prestigious film schools in the world. Each year the Lodz Film School is ranked amongst the top best schools according to “The Hollywood Reporter”. Its mission is to educate directors and cinematographers of live-action, documentary and animated films, lighting designers, still photographers, editors, screenwriters, producers and actors. Students achieve practical and theoretical knowledge, and shoot their own projects on film or digital under artistic guidance of acclaimed Polish and international filmmakers. The School takes great pride in its unique master-apprentice relationship, which resulted in an amazing array of projects made by its alumni.
