AGRFT (Slovenia)

University of Ljubljana

The Academy was founded shortly after WWII as the Academy of Dramatic Arts, intended for the education of dramatic actors, directors and dramaturgs. The Academy was basically a continuation of an actors school that was founded in 1943 by partisans on the liberated territory of then occupied Slovenia. In 1963, the Academy of Dramatic Arts was renamed the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (AGRFT). In 1975, the Academy became a faculty of the University of Ljubljana. It offers both undergraduate and graduate study programs, including interships in all available fields.
