As part of the “Day of Respect”, FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH will show a specially selected set of short films with appropriate themes from this year’s festival lineup. After the screening (83 minutes in total), there will be a panel discussion with the filmmakers (scheduled duration: 20 minutes).


The screening includes:


KANYA (director: Appoorva Satish, FAMU Prague, Tamil with English subtitles, 15 min.); HER DANCE (director: Bar Cohen, The Steve Tisch School of Film and Television, Tel Aviv, Hebrew with English subtitles, 22 min.); SCUM MUTATION (director: Ov, Le Fresnoy, Studio des Art Contemporains, Tourcoing, French, English with English subtitles, 10 min.); $75,000 (director: Moïse Togo, Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains, Tourcoing, Yoruba, Fon, and Bambara with English subtitles, 14 min.); REGIME CHANGE (director: Yana Sad, Moscow School of New Cinema, Russian with English subtitles, 18 min.); EVERYTHING WRONG WITH THIS WORLD (directors: Nicolai Zeitler and Marlene Bischof, University of Television and Film Munich (HFF), German with English subtitles, 4 min.).

The events of the “Day of Respect” are aimed primarily at students, instructors, and employees of the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF), the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich (HMTM), the Academy of Fine Arts (AdBK), and the August Everding Theater Academy. Outsiders are welcome to attend, provided that seats are available (registration at respekt.hff-muc.de).
