BABA & SON - IN THE HAMAM
Father and son visit a Turkish bath. The boy is not very interested in his male fellows at the bath. Instead, his attention shifts to the department where the women are located: Warm colors seep in, the music becomes sweeter, female bodies lure and dance – is it real, is it a fantasy? And how will the father react when he discovers this digression?

Meet the director
Deniz Zagli
Deniz Zagli focuses on intercultural art and movies and is specialized in developing and animating short films. His current style involves orientalist ornaments and visuals as parts of a surrealist story. He studied Graphic Design at the Medienakademie Cimdata in Berlin. In 2011, he began his studies at the animation department of the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolff. BABA & SON – IN THE HAMAM (2016) is his graduation film.
