The three award-winning films of the Climate Clips Award 2022 are screened during program 3. THE LAST SHADE won the first prize 2022.
At a time when excessive deforestation has escalated the effects of global warming, a desperate old man looks for a shady spot where he can take refuge from the scorching heat. The only object casting shade is a lone tree. As he approaches it, he realizes that the area in the shade of the tree is full of people. There is not enough space for him.

Meet the director
Alper Bozkurt
Alper Bozkurt was born in Turkey in 1992. In 2015, he began studying filmmaking at the New York Film Academy under a full scholarship. After returning to Turkey, he began working as a screenwriter in the film industry. Recently, he has been doing his master’s in screenwriting at the University of the Arts London.
