THE DOOR OF RETURN
In the year 2440 on the planet Saturn, racism, sexism, and capitalism have been overcome. A black woman travels back to the year 2020, when racism in Germany was still widespread. In preparation, she is shown interviews with eight Afro-German women from our time who describe their struggle. This is an Afro-futuristic documentary and a thought experiment.

Meet the director
Kokutekeleza Musebeni, Anna Zhukovets
Anna Zhukovets is a director, photographer, and editor from Munich. She was born in eastern Ukraine in 1997 and grew up in Germany. She completed her music baccalaureate in Paris, where she went on to work for Arte France. Since 2018, she has been studying documentary film directing and television journalism at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). Her first short documentary, IN THE GLASS HOUSE, was screened at festivals worldwide and earned several awards.
Kokutekeleza Musebeni is studying documentary film directing and television journalism at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). She is also a journalist at Bayerischer Rundfunk and ZDF. An audio program she co-authored was nominated for the 2021 CIVIS Media Prize for Migration, Integration and Cultural Diversity in the category of documentary film.
