THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER
Newsak Weis fought the Nazis as a Soviet soldier in World War II. He vividly remembers this time, when he collected dozens of medals. Today, their weight rests heavily on his shoulders. But the filmmaker is looking for something else. He gives Newsak cues. He enquires about women, about his youth. Eventually, an utterly lively 92-year old emerges from underneath Newsak’s uniform.
