Neil’s boring office routine is haunted by a pervasive doubt: Is he perhaps nothing more than a character in an Australian animated film? His terrible suspicion is confirmed when the eponymous ostrich appears on the scene. Neil makes a daring attempt to break out of this crumbling illusion.

Lachlan Pendragon
Lachlan Pendragon is a screenwriter, director, and animator who lives in Brisbane, Australia. His films explore the craft and narrative possibilities of stop-motion animation, breathing life into motionless objects. Lachlan is currently pursuing his doctorate in visual arts at Griffith University in Brisbane. AN OSTRICH TOLD ME THE WORLD IS FAKE AND I THINK I BELIEVE IT was created as part of his studies.
