LIQUID BREAD
During a blazing hot summer in southern Slovakia, three generations of a family live happily under one roof — until an unexpected visit from granddaughter Zoja shakes things up a bit. In the quiet presence of God and alcohol, the family reveals its tragicomic past and a few (nearly) unspoken secrets.

Meet the director
Alica Bednáriková
Alica Bednáriková is from Žilina, Slovakia. She attended a bilingual high school in Sučany and then went on to study film directing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. She has written and directed several short films, including BOREDOM (2020), which was screened at several festivals. In addition to making films, Bednáriková writes poetry and short stories.
