Released from prison, Mariusz and his adult son attempt to return to reality, interweaving the habits they acquired in jail and their way of coping with everyday life. Contrary to popular opinion, their relationship is filled with reflection and love. The protagonists’ sensitivity contrasts with the heartless reality that scars former prisoners, excluding them from being a valuable member of society.

Jakub Gomółka grew up in a village near Kraków. An amateur photographer and writer, he is studying film directing at the Polish National Film School in Łódź.
