Special Competition CLIMATE CLIPS - SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

The Nagelschneider - Stiftung / Erforschung nachhaltiger Energien and the Internationale Münchner Filmwochen GmbH will be holding a special competition in 2010, “Climate Clips – Sustainable Energy”. The best three films will be presented and screened at the 30th Munich International Festival of Film Schools held by the Internationale Münchner Filmwochen GmbH from November 14th to 20th, 2010, in Munich. Film students can submit up to a maximum of five films. The films must have been completed no longer than 3 years before this year’s award ceremony.

COMPETITION

We're looking for clips on the subject of the global climate crisis. The more original, the better! The spots should not be shorter than 30 seconds and not longer than 2 minutes. They can be shot on any and all formats. To be screened at the festival, they must be available on one of the following formats: 16mm, 35mm, Beta-SP, DigiBeta or DVD.

ENTRIES

Eligible to enter are all film students worldwide. The spots should be submitted in English or with English subtitles, if filmed in any other language.

DEADLINE

All entries, including the spots on DVD for the jury, must arrive in Munich no later than September 30, 2010 and should be addressed to

Entries that are not complete or arrive after September 30, 2010 cannot be considered for the competition.

A jury will view all films submitted. Participants will be notified of their selection status in October of 2010.

PRIZES

The winner of the special competition CLIMATE CLIPS - SUSTAINABLE ENERGY will receive EUR 5.000,- in prize money.

RIGHTS

By signing the entry form, signatories agree to the CLIMATE CLIPS competition regulations. In addition, they agree to having their films screened in the program of the Munich International Festival of Film Schools and on its website as well as on the website of the Stiftung Nagelschneider / Erforschung nachhaltiger Energien before, during and up to one year after the festival - free of charge.

For any other use of the clips, a separate agreement must be entered.

ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL EXPENSES

The directors of the three top nominated films will be invited to participate in the Munich International Festival of Film Schools and will receive financial support towards their travel expenses. Hotel accommodations will be provided by the festival.
