 Cookies

A "cookie" is a small text file that is transferred from a Web server to your browser, then sent back by your browser each time you access a different page of the website. Filmfest München uses cookies for technical reasons, in order to allow you to use the website easily. Cookies do no harm to your computer and do not contain viruses.

The use of our website, excluding the ticket shop, is possible without cookies. Most browsers are set up to automatically accept cookies. You can, however, set up your browser to inform you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only in certain cases; to allow you to choose which cookies to accept; to refuse all cookies; or to automatically delete cookies upon closing the browser.

Confidentiality of e-mail

When you send us e-mail, your e-mail address is used only for correspondence with you. Using it for any other purpose would require us to notify you explicitly and ask for your consent. Please note, however, that the confidentiality of e-mail and other electronic forms of communication via the Internet cannot be guaranteed.

Filmfest app

No collection or processing of personal data occurs when using the main functions of the Filmfest app, which do not require a login. This means that no user data is stored on servers, no personalized user data or personalized user actions are analyzed (tracking), and no personal data is given to third parties.

For the login area of the Filmfest app, you can decide during accreditation which personal details are to appear in the networking list. These details include, for example, your e-mail address, telephone number, dates of arrival and departure, and photo. We process this data within the context of what we offer you only if you grant us permission during the accreditation process and only when it is legally permissible to do so.

The data provided by the app is hosted on servers at m.a.x. Informationstechnologie AG (Landshuter Allee 12–14, 80637 München, Germany, www.max-it.de).

The first time you log in, your user name and password are encrypted and sent to the server once, while a personal access token is stored on your mobile device.

The app does not store any other personal data on your device. Use of the app requires access to the Filmfest's content management system (CMS). The CMS contains, among other things, the selection of films, theaters, and details relevant to these. Access to the CMS is logged on Filmfest servers. Data in the logs is completely anonymized.

When using the Filmfest app's festival planner, the films you select are stored locally on your mobile device. This information is not stored on Filmfest servers, nor is your festival planner analyzed (tracked).

The use of auxiliary services such as the loading of websites (for example, of a movie theater), ticketing, or social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) is done from links within the Filmfest app. In such cases as well, the app does not forward any personal data.

In its current stage of development, the app does not use push notifications.

Newsletter data

If you wish to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we require your e-mail address and confirmation that you have agreed to receive the newsletter. Any further information provided is voluntary and serves to optimize the newsletter. We use your data exclusively for the purpose of sending you the requested information; we do not share it with any outside parties.

You may at any time revoke the consent you have given us to store your data and use your e-mail address to send you the newsletter.
