DIMA – Republik Korea

DIMA, Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts was founded in 1997. The school is located in the city of Anseong, Republic of Korea. Anseong is a city of about 170,000 inhabitants, and is one-hour drive south of Seoul. DIMA has about 2,300 students, 70 full-time faculty members, about 150 part-time faculty members, and about 100 staffs. It has semester system which has 15 weeks of study.

DIMA has 15 departments in five schools: the school of arts, the school of media engineering, the school of broadcasting, the school of design, and the school of media management. Film Art Department belongs to the school of arts which also has a Performing Arts Department, an Applied Music Department, a Department of Entertainment in Broadcasting, and an Audio Production Department.

The Film Art Department teaches students how to tell dramatic stories using moving images and sounds. Its focus is more on hands-on practice than theories. It is proud not only of its outstanding faculty members with lots of industry experience but also of its state-of-the-art equipments and facilities. The graduates of the department are now working in every aspect of Korean film industry.
